About WaveTips
WaveTips is an independent project, built in France and currently in its launch phase.
Why we are building it
Tips are a large part of the income of tour guides and street performers, and for free walking tour guides they are often the only part. At the same time, fewer and fewer people carry cash, especially when they travel.
The result is simple: people who would gladly give something leave without giving anything. WaveTips exists to close that gap.
What we believe
A tip belongs to the person who earned it. We design our pricing so that the people who tip can cover the fees, instead of taking a cut from the people who receive.
Tools for independent workers should be simple, honest about costs, and respectful of personal data.

Interviews with guides and performers, and development of the first version.
